Wiibrew developer farter has released a major update to GeeXboX, a media player for the Wii that supports all audio and video formats that MPlayer does (even rmvb!). It sports an impressive list of features, including USB storage, ethernet, an image viewer, netstreaming, an http/telnet/ft server, and more.

This new version has several new features, and has been updated to MPlayer r27630. Some of the more notable new features are extended subtitle support, and on-the-fly aspect ratio change. Here’s the changelog:
